Terms and Conditions

This site is owned by Goodyears Outdoors Ltd.

Any purchase of goods from the site www.goodyears.co.uk requires the customer to consult and accept these terms and conditions. The click validating the order implies full acceptance of these terms and represents the customer's "digital signature".

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website.

1. Order Processing

We accept orders via this website. The order will be dispatched within 2 working days of receipt of order unless we have informed you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it. If stock is not available then we will contact you to advise.


2. Delivery Charges and Terms of Delivery

Standard Delivery Royal Mail 48  (UK Mainland or the Isle of Wight) - £3.95 (orders with a value greater than £70 qualify for free delivery)

We currently do not deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish Islands, BFPO addresses, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

Other delivery options are available at an extra charge -

Royal Mail 24 Tracked  - £5.95


If the first delivery is unsuccessful a card will be left and it is your responsibility to contact the carriers to arrange redelivery/collection.

Small items will be sent by Royal Mail 48 as such delivery times will be subject to Royal Mail and Goodyears Outdoors cannot be held liable for any delay due to the Royal Mail.

The heavier items will be sent via Parcelforce 48 to UK Mainland addresses, Goodyears Outdoors cannot be held responsible for any delay due to  Parcelforce.

Items with a value over £25 may require a signature upon receipt.


3. Damage in transit, shortages, incorrect goods or non-delivery

From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery.

Time Limitation for Notification of Claims

Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 2 days from delivery in writing, preferably via email.

Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier's delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 2 days from delivery in writing, preferably via email. It is advised that the order is checked thoroughly to ensure that you have received all the items on the delivery note. Particular attention must be paid to check that all relevant parts of a tent are received - eg flysheet, bedrooms, pegs - as we will only be responsible for shortages for 3 months after the date the order is received by the customer.

Incorrect Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 2 days from delivery.
Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days from the expected delivery date in writing, preferably via email.

4. Payment

Payment will be taken from your card at the time the order is received. Goods are subject to availability and we will endeavour to check that they are available at time of order. In the event we are unable to supply the goods we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods.

Payments are processed for Goodyears Outdoors by Shopify Payments   or Paypal, depending upon the method you have chosen. Title to any goods you have ordered on this website will pass to you on delivery of the goods provided that payment has been received in full for the products.

All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current rates but exclude delivery charges.

5. Right to Cancel

You may cancel your order at any point from time of placing the order up to 14 days after receiving the goods. To exercise this right please inform us in writing (by e-mail or letter) within 14 days from the day you receive your order. If the goods have already been sent you will need to return them to us in their original packaging at your own cost and by recorded delivery. Once we receive the goods we will process a refund as quickly as possible.

The goods must be returned unused and in pristine condition to be returned back to stock. Tents must not have been pitched, even indoors, as they cannot then be re-entered into stock for resale.

6. Returns Policy

We will exchange, credit or refund any item at full cost whatever reason you have to return provided it is cancelled within 14 days of receipt. You will need to return the goods at your own cost and by recorded delivery within 14 days of cancellation.

The goods must be returned unused and in pristine condition to be returned back to stock. Tents must not have been pitched, even indoors, as they cannot then be re-entered into stock for resale.

We will cover the postage of replacement items.

If the item is faulty please contact us on 01983 408181 or email - sales@goodyears.co.uk. We will either refund, replace or repair the goods at our discretion.

7. Description of Goods

The descriptions given are believed to accurate to the best of our knowledge. We would however recommend that you check specific technical details of products with the manufacturer if in doubt.

Goodyears Outdoors Ltd or its suppliers shall not be held liable for the consequences, accidents, or special damages arising from electronic transmissions or the accuracy of transmitted information, even in cases where Goodyears Outdoors Ltd was aware of the possibility of such damages. Manufacturer and brand names are only used for identification purposes. Product photos, descriptions and prices are non-contractual.

We supply products as supplied to us from the manufacturer. In the case of damage to a person or property resulting from a product defect, only the product manufacturer shall be held liable and sought after by the customer, by means of the information provided on the packaging of said product.

All products sold on this site are under a one (1) year warranty. All products that have been modified or repaired by the customer or any other party not chosen by Goodyears Outdoors Ltd are not covered by this warranty.

8. Validity of Offer and Prices

Our offers and prices are valid for the day the site is consulted and are subject to change without notice.

9. Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price (including delivery charges).

10. Right of Use

The use of any trademarks, logos, brands or photographs on the site is strictly forbidden.

11. Partial Invalidity

These terms and conditions remain valid and in force, even if one or more clauses are invalid or declared so under any law, regulation or following the final decision of a competent court.

12. Data Protection

All personal data you provide us with is to process your orders. This data will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1998.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party will be deemed to be in breach of any of its obligations under the agreement as a result of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any such obligations by reason of any cause or event beyond the parties' control. A force majeure event includes, but is not limited to, any unforeseeable, inevitable, or unstoppable act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond the control of either party, despite all reasonable efforts made to the contrary. In addition to events usually recognized by the British courts, a force majeure event includes in particular (without limitation) the following: Strike, lock-out, earthquake, fire, storm, flood, lightning, explosion, impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.

In such circumstances, the party delayed or unable to perform ("Delayed Party") shall notify the other party ("Affected Party") within ten (10) business days following the date such events become known.

Unless prevented due to force majeure, both parties will meet within three months to examine the impact of the event and agree to the conditions under which the contract shall be continued. If the force majeure lasts longer than one (1) month, this agreement may be terminated by the injured party.

16. Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction

In form and content, these Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law. All orders placed on this site strictly imply the acceptance of Goodyears Outdoors Ltd terms and conditions.

In case of dispute or claim, the customer agrees to seek an amicable solutions with Goodyears Outdoors Ltd before proceeding with any legal action. In the event where such a solution cannot be found, any disputes concerning the sale (price, Terms and Conditions, products etc) will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
